Top 30 U-21 Players

4 Nov

A Portuguese football finance company has released its list of the top 30 players under 21 years of age, and their minimum/maximum value. Many of you may think these numbers are low, but you’ve simply been brainwashed by the inflated and astronomical transfers fees we’ve seen over the past two years. I give a lot of credit to this company who gave an honest estimate on these players’ worth – especially for kids no older than 21.

There are also a number of surprising names missing from this list, but after looking it over, a majority of the players who made the list have been performing at a high level for some time on both the club and international level. So in some ways you can reduce the list of names not on this list if looking at those credentials only.

Either way, think what you will of it. Here’s a quick breakdown followed by the list itself:

Breakdown by Nationality
5 Brazilians
5 Spaniards
4 Germans
3 French
2 each from Italy, Belgium, England
1 each from Montenegro, Argentina, Bosnia, Greece, Denmark, Wales, Russia

Breakdown by League

6 Bundesliga (Germany)
5 each in Ligue 1 (France) and La Liga (Spain)
4 each in Serie A (Italy) and EPL (England)
3 Campeonato Brasileiro (Brazil)
1 each in Jupiler League (Belgium), Russian Premier League, Superleague (Greece)
